The new video by goldiechiari Anygirl, 4′ (2012) was inspired by the story of Wilma Montesi, a young woman found dead on April 11, 1953 in the sea on Capocotta’s beach, 42 kilometers from Rome.
The Montesi case has become a landmark date, was the first crime that reached national fame.
In the two following years its discovery coverups, conspiracies, and a world of drugs and orgies involving celebrities, politicians and criminals came to light. The first scenes of the video, in black and white, pick up the corpse of a young woman lying on the shore.
She awakens from death, she opens her eyes, gets up. Breaking free from the cage so that the iconography was depicted in the news like a lifeless body on the shore, regains her violated identity of “ordinary girl”.
After looking straight into the camera, to us, knocking down the last barrier placed in defense of the staging, she devoted herself to the pleasure of playing with the waves.
The black and white turns technicolor when the woman running on the beach holds in her hands a flag, letting it goat the mercy of the wind.
